The 16th does not have a very fancy process of admittance into the unit. If you are considering joining the regiment, there are a few things you should know before formally applying.
If you are applying to the unit, you should plan on being active. While you don't have to attend each and every week, if we're lucky to see you on a monthly basis this may not be the place for you.
We are more than an Arma unit, we are a community with Arma as our anchor game. You should be willing to become a part of it and help build upon it, not just be another faceless soldier in an occasional Arma session.
Membership requires a copy of Arma 3. We use APEX stuff often, but if you don't have it don't let that discourage you from applying - arrangements can perhaps be made.
Membership requires Teamspeak 3, and a Microsoft OS in order for ACRE (our communications mod) to work.
You will be expected to have and use your microphone in Arma sessions. You do not need one when applying, but you should work on getting one.
While we do not have an age requirement to join, our community is certainly adult in language and such. You should be mature enough to hear sultry and provocative language without having a metldown. Additionally, you should be mature enough to be respectful and tactful to everyone.
You will be required to sign up and use this website often and you will need to be in the Steam group
You should know that our regular Arma sessions are weekly on Fridays @ 9:00 PM Central Time (GMT-6).
Once accepted, you will have to attend a quick training session before you are able to attend a full session; these sessions are mainly to make sure your mods work, you know how to use them, and you have the very basics down. Several hours before each full session begins, these training sessions can be held for new joins.
If you are aware of all the responsibilities that come with becoming a member and still wish to apply, below is the process you should follow to begin.
Make an account on this website. Our website is hosted by Enjin, so if you already have an Enjin account you can use it to log in and 'join' this site.
Once you have an account on this website, navigate to our forums. The forum is divided into several categories, you should be looking in the 'Arma 3' category and navigate to the 'Recruitment Office' board.
Once in the Recruitment Office, open the stickied thread titled 'New Recruits Application'. Do what it tells you; the rest of the process will be from there.
If you have any further quesitons, you may send me a message through this website, or you may add and talk to me via Steam.
